Midweek Mixer

Wednesdays feature quotes and phrases that make me heady because we all need a boost to get us to the weekend.

"I know of no more encouraging fact than the ability of a man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor. It is something to paint a particular picture, or to carve a statue, and so make a few objects beautiful. It is far more glorious to carve and paint the very atmosphere and medium through which we look."
--Henry David Thoreau

  1. I like Thoreau's thought on elevating life through endeavor. Doing so truly opens our eyes to so much life around us.

  2. I like this. I like the idea of creating the medium through which we look. It reminds me of all those "X is a choice" theories floating around--you know? Thanks, Nisa! :o)
