You have probably guessed that I'm a big fan of all the blogfests going around. Are you ready for another one because I think this one might be the most fun yet! The Whoops! Blogfest is being hosted by Laurel and she's hosting a contest to go right along with it. Get the most people to sign up and you'll win a 10-page critique from her. Those are always so helpful!
Who hasn't written a scene where their characters make a mistake, gaffe, embarrass themselves senseless? I have to admit that when I first thought about it, I told myself I didn't have a humorous scene like that, but then I realized it didn't have to be humorous. No character is perfect - at least they shouldn't be - and the more I thought about it, the more I realized I have a lot of scenes I could use! So come join in the fun if you're up for it!

Cool! Thanks for the heads up, Nisa. I keep missing these blog fests.
ReplyDeleteBlogfests, sweet! I'll run over there & check it out.
ReplyDeleteI just joined a PG rated love scene blogfest. This one sounds good too. So many fests!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the head's up. Sounds like a fun one.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely sounds like fun :)
ReplyDeleteI want to do this. I would love a critique and I love laurel but for the life of me I haven't found a mishap. Oh wait!!! My chick lit I shall check it out. Sorry for the ramble ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out Nisa. I really appreciate the help getting the word out so more can join in the fun.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Laurel. It's my pleasure. Blogfests are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteRamble away! I love rambling too. ;)
Karen, who's hosting the PG blogfest? How fun!
Wow, sounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteNisa,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog on Friday! I appreciated reading your comment! Your profile description is very creative! Pleased to meet you!
Nisa, I am thinking about signing up to do a Saint Paddy's day drunk at first sight blogfest. But I worry, because I write for children. But my family is from Ireland. So I don't know about all these blogfests. I may just sit back and read them. Thanks for telling me about Laurel's though. I'll hop over and see her. I haven't talked to her since before unplug week. The Whoops blogfest would be up my alley, because the two teens in my MG book have several of those as they are lost in the mountains on horseback. =)
ReplyDeleteOh Robyn, that sounds like it could be very good! (Not to mention terrifying!) I can see the whole drunk blogfest not fitting into your bloggy atmosphere. That's one I won't be participating in either since I don't have a scene like that.
ReplyDeleteIt is so cool that your family is from Ireland! Mine goes back to all over Europe, but primarily England and Germany.
Jody, pleased to meet you as well!
ReplyDeleteYay for all your followers! It's bc your blogs are from the heart and short and sweet!
